Axe Compute has divested its AI cancer diagnostics subsidiary Helomics for DataMEDS stock, completing its shift to a pure-play GPU-as-a-Service business.

Axe Compute (AGPU) has sold Helomics Corporation, its legacy artificial intelligence cancer diagnostics laboratory business, to DataMEDS AI (MEDS) in an all-stock transaction. The Pittsburgh-based company received common shares and common share equivalents of DataMEDS in exchange for its wholly-owned subsidiary, leaving it with an equity stake in the buyer rather than cash proceeds.
