The Children's Place, Inc. (PLCE) reported a net loss of $31.0 million, or $1.39 per diluted share, for the fiscal second quarter ended August 1, 2026, compared with a loss of $5.4 million, or $0.24 per share, a year earlier. Net sales fell 18.9%, or $56.2 million, to $241.8 million, as direct-to-consumer sales dropped 15.0% on lower store and website traffic and the company deliberately cut wholesale shipments to clear aged inventory.
