NORDIC AMERICAN TANKERS (NAT) Reports Spot Rates Up to $200,000 a Day
The Suezmax owner says recent spot fixtures range from about $60,000 to $200,000 per day, against vessel operating costs below $10,000 a day.
Nordic American Tankers (NAT) told shareholders on Tuesday that the market for its Suezmax tankers is extraordinary, disclosing a series of recent spot fixtures with daily rates ranging from roughly $60,000 to about $200,000. With operating costs of less than $10,000 per ship per day, the company said the gap between those rates and its costs is cash accumulation in NAT.
